Full Court Adult Basketball

Don’t be a couch potato this winter. Full Court 5-on-5 basketball is a great way to stay in shape during the long winter months. Teams are self-officiated to keep the registration fee low. A $25 non-refundable team deposit and completed registration form is necessary to register. There will be a Managers Meeting on Tuesday, January 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Training Room. There will be no separate players fees, only a team total.

The Street Gym will NOT be open evenings of parent-teacher conferences, November 6 & 9, and February 19 & 22, or Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day or New Years Day.

People using the gym are asked to park in the East Parking Lot and enter through the East Door.

Reminder: Anytime school closes because of inclement weather, the Street Gym will NOT be open.

Anyone interested in playing in the 10 & Under and 14 & Under leagues need to attend one of the two skill evaluation dates for that league. The skill evaluations will be used to attempt to divide players into equal teams.

Skill Evaluation Dates: Saturdays March 10 & 17 – Pickard Park

 

For information on moving up on age bracket, call our office at 961-9420.

 

Game days have been designated for all leagues. Rain cancellations may force use of alternate days and times. Coaches will schedule practices outside of game dates and times. Teams are required to have at least 2 contact per week and no more than 3 contacts per week. Players choosing not to practice may be limited to playing time.

 

8 & Under

·       Will play 10 league games.

·       Players must be in 1st grade or above.

·       Everyone bats and fields an equal amount of time.

·       Coaches will pitch to players for no more than 5 pitches.

 

10 & Under

·       Will play 14 league games.

·       Players will pitch the entire season.

·       Will be officiated by certified umpires.

·       Everyone on each team will bat, with a maximum of 9 batters per inning.

·       Games are scheduled for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

 

14 & Under

·       Will play 16 league games plus a league tournament.

·       Will be officiated by certified umpires.

·       Team members must play at least 2 innings with as equal playing time as possible.

·       Players will pitch throughout the entire season: 12 & Under from 35 feet and 14 & Under from 40 feet.
