Department
The Administrative & Community Services Department
provides many functions for the City of Indianola and Indianola Municipal
Utilities.
First, the City Clerk’s Office administers utility billing, payroll, accounts
payables, accounts receivables, cash receipts, and other financial operations
for the City of Indianola and Indianola Municipal Utilities. Other related
activities include managing permitting processes, financial reporting, debt
issuance, serving as the custodian of official records, compiling meeting
minutes, and the processing of contracts, assessments, and utility connection
fees.
Second, the department serves as the public information source for the City of
Indianola. These activities include production of newsletters for the public and
employees, development of the City of Indianola’s web site, and overseeing cable
Channel 7. Other related activities include administering the technology that is
used to produce these information sources and developing content such as video
segments, information slides, and articles.
Third, the department provides other administrative and community service
activities. It manages the internal wide area network, telecommunications, and
software that impacts the organization. It also provides management advisement
to community efforts and organizations that improve Indianola’s economic
vitality.
DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE & COMMUNITY
SERVICES
Jennifer Sease, new Director of Administrative and
Community Services, began the position in September, replacing Todd Kielkopf,
the General Manager of Indianola Municipal Utilities. She holds a B.S. degree in
Accounting from Northwest Missouri State University. In addition to her duties
as Director of Administrative and Community Services, she currently serves as
Vice President of the Golden Circle Municipal Officers Association and Treasurer
of the Warren County Empowerment Board.
The Director of Administrative & Community Services performs administrative,
financial, and community service activities throughout the municipal entity. She
serves as the appointed Clerk for the City of Indianola and Indianola Municipal
Utilities and performs other administrative duties. She also functions as the
Chief Accounting Officer and Chief Information Officer for the municipal entity
and as such directs the activities of the City Clerk’s Office and the Public
Information Coordinator. |
