Keep Your Sidewalks Clear
For the safety of
pedestrians, city or-dinance requires property owners to clear their side-walks of snow and ice in a timely manner. Failure to comply with this ordinance may result in a fine, court costs and reimbursement to the city of costs associated with removal.

Indianola Park N Rec. Events
Sleepy Hollow Early Out Trip: Middle School students in grades 6-8 can register for an outing to Sleepy Hollow Sports Park in Des Moines on Wednesday, January 30. The group will eat lunch at the Middle School before departing at 11:45 a.m. Students should indicate whether they will be purchasing regular school lunch or bringing a sack lunch from home. Fee is $13.75 which includes transportation, tubing and skiing, lesson and rental. It does not include lunch. Parents must sign and return a Sleepy Hollow release form to the Parks & Recreation office by Monday, January 28. The form is available on the downloads page on the Indianola Parks & Recreation website. Registration deadline is Wed-nesday, January 23, or when full.

Kiddie College Valentine’s Party: Indianola Parks and Recreation offers Kiddie College for children ages 3-5 who are potty trained. They will enjoy a craft, stories, games and a snack at the Valentine’s Party on Thursday, February 7. Openings are available in program 4769 which meets from 5:30 - 6:20 p.m. and in program 4770 which meets from 6:30 - 7:20 p.m. Fee is $10. Registration deadline is Thursday, January 31, or when full.

Daddy Daughter Date Night: Indianola Parks and Recreation will hold the annual Daddy Daughter Date Night event on Friday, February 8, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Methodist Church Parish Hall, 307 W. Ashland. Girls ages five through twelve and their father, grandfather, uncle or other father figure can enjoy an evening of refreshments, music, dancing and fun. All young ladies will receive a flower and everyone will take home a keepsake photo of the special evening. Registration deadline for program 4664 is Friday, February 1, or when full. Cost is $20 per couple, and each additional girl is $10.
