The free two-week training is available to residents aged at least 21 years. March 1st Special Election Voting Details

Voting: Election Day is March 1st and Indianola residents can vote at the American Legion, located at 105 West 1st Avenue from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Voters can also vote early by requesting an absentee ballot with the Warren County auditor (515-961-1020), or vote in person at the auditor’s office (located at 301 N. Buxton St. #101) from February 14th – 28th. All ballots must be in the mail no later than February 28th or delivered in person to the auditor's office no later than 8:00 p.m., on March 1st.

DART RideShare assists commuters in organizing groups, providing vans, and maintaining the vanpool. Vanpooling offers a convenient, reliable, economical and less stressful alternative to driving alone to work.

RideShares help to reduce traffic delays and congestion, as well as, help keep the air clean and reduce pollution in the environment.

RideShare has eight vanpools that originate from Indianola each morning, Monday through Friday. Commuters save thousands of dollars a year by vanpooling. They cut their gasoline, insurance, parking and maintenance costs by more than half.

Each vanpool can accommodate one volunteer driver and up to 14 passengers. Each passenger pays one low monthly fare based on van purchases, mileage, gasoline and maintenance expenses.
