Honor Guard

honorguard1The Honor Guard is responsible for representing the colors, functioning as an independent unit, and for the coordination of all events surrounding ceremonies.

The Indianola Fire Department Honor Guard acts as the official representative of the Indianola Fire Department in conducting funeral services for the Indianola Fire Fighters that die in the line of duty, that pass away due to natural causes or accidental deaths, as well as retirees.

The Honor Guard also serves as representative of the Indianola Fire Department during special departmental functions and civic events as requested.

The Indianola Fire Department Honor Guard was established in 1995 by Randy Zimmerman and has grown to 18 members in 2001. All 18 men volunteer their time to practice marching drills and maneuvers.
