The Indianola Fire Department covers 100 square miles which includes the city of Indianola and rural community surrounding the city. The Indianola Fire Department provides 24 hour response for emergencies. These emergencies can include fire suppression, medical emergencies, hazardous materials events, and other life threatening situations.
The Department also supports these efforts with a fire prevention and public education program, as well as on-going training for all department staff. Preventative efforts are a key component of the Department's emergency response to the community.
