Tot Splash Time
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Children ages 5 and under, along with an adult, can have some fun together splashing around the small pool at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center. Slip down the slide, scurry through the sand play area or tinker around with our Gadgets & Gizmos water feature!
Days: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Time: 10:30 am-Noon Dates: June 7-August 16
Fee: $1.50 per person, including adults (season pass does not apply to this program)
Accompanying adult must be 16 years of age or older and supervising no more than two children. Children 6-15 will not be admitted.

Red White & Blue Day at Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center

Show your spirit by wearing red, white and blue to the pool on Independence Day and receive a coupon for a tasty treat from the snack bar!

Peoples Bank Music in the Park - The Sonny Humbucker Band

Sonny Humbucker is central Iowa's premier guitar-driven rock band. The band's specialty is radically retooling select songs by 60s British Invasion bands such as The Who, the Kinks, Badfinger, and the Beatles. The gand also boasts original tunes as well as covers of songs by popular alternative and indie rock groups, and regularly performs unplugged when called upon.

Free event at Pickard Park. Bring lawn chairs or blankets. Fireworks follow at dusk!
If weather rains out Sunday's concert & fireworks,both will be held Monday, July 5, same times @ Pickard Park.

Club Wet Teen Pool Party

Bring a friend and come to the Aquatic Center for this great party just for teens entering Middle School & High School. Put together your best “Rock Band” or challenge your friends to a game of “Guitar Hero” on our giant screen!
Fee: $5.00 at the gate (Season Pass does not include admission to pool parties)Concession stand will be open.

Buy one admission and get the second admission free!
Bring the family to the Aquatic Center and float your cares away. Rafts, inner tubes, noodles and other flotation devices will be allowed during this time. All children must be accompanied by at least one parent/adult. This is a time set aside especially for families.

55 + Activity Idea Gatherings

We are looking for input on possible activities to offer for our citizens over 55. If you have an idea for a class, program, seminar, activity, event, or would like to lead or instruct, we would like to hear from you. Each month on the 2nd Tuesday at 10:45 we will gather to toss out ideas and include all who are interested in more activities. Dance with Maurie Goode & the Country Gentlemen

All ages invited to this dance featuring the classic country sounds of Maurie Goode and the Country Gentlemen at the Indianola Activity Center, 2204 W. 2nd Avenue (Hwy 92W). Doors open at 6 PM. $5/person at the door.
Proceeds go to the Indianola Area Senior Center.
