Teen Early Out

Sleepy Hollow Sports Park

When: Monday, January 26, 2009

Where: Sleepy Hollow Sports Park

Description: Join us for an early out afternoon at Sleepy Hollow. Fee includes transportation, tubing & skiing, lift ticket, lesson and rental. (Snowboard rental costs an additional $8) Regular school lunch will be served at the Middle School or you may bring your own sack lunch. We will return to the Middle School by 5:00 p.m. The registration fee does not include lunch. Parents must sign a Sleepy Hollow release form, available on the downloads page of our website.

Date: Wednesday, February 4

Time: 11:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Age: 6 - 8th grades

Fee: $15 or $12 with Resident Discount

Min/Max: 50/100

Registration Deadline: Monday, January 26, or when full.

Location: We will leave from and return to the Indianola Middle School

Beginning Swing Dance:

When: Tuesday, Jan 13, 200

Description: Have some dancing fun as you learn the Single Time Swing, Double Time Swing and the Triple-Time Swing. Learn the basic of each rhythm, how to lead and follow correctly, as well as underarm turns and really cool dance moves you can use at that next party or reception. Open to singles and couples of all ages.

Program: #5207 • Time: 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Dates: Tuesdays, January 20 - February 24

Age: 18 and up, teens 15 - 17 Welcome!

Fee: $44, or $39 with resident discount

Description: Learning how to dance has never been easier. You’ll be introduced to the Foxtrot, the graceful Waltz, the dramatic Tango, the romantic Rumba, and the challenging Cha-Cha. Learn the basics of each dance, how to find the beats in the music, how to lead and follow correctly, and most important – how to have fun while you learn! Open to singles and couples of all ages.

Reflexology

Description: Reflexology is an age old method of treating the body through specialized points of the feet. In this class, we will learn specific places on t he feet to massage which helps with neck ache, lower back pain, indigestion, etc. This treatment can be given to oneself or you’ll be able to help a loved one with these ailments. Public Notice

City ordinance 1015 prohibits parking on any public street or alley during a snow emergency parking ban.

Such ban is in effect when two or more inches of snow or ice has fallen or is predicted by the National Weather Service. Ban shall continue for the duration of the storm and for forty-eight hours past the end of the storm unless streets are fully opened after plowing.

If your vehicle is in violation of the snow emergency parking ban, you will be subject to a $35.00 parking ticket and/or your vehicle may be towed at your expense.

Snow emergency parking ban will be posted on cable channel 7,
the city web site:
cityofindianola.com or can be confirmed by contacting the
Indianola Police Dept.

Please take special note of this ordinance and plan accordingly.
